here's my entry for the Style Challenge of heavenriver's Ultra Fractal Monthly Challenges Redux ~ Vol. 48.
sweet mother of god, this one was a bear. a bear of a monkey on my back? stand back, I'm mixing metaphors.
I'm not happy with the colours, but I haven't been able to switch gears to another fractal with this one sitting half-cooked, so I'm calling it as close to done as I'm ever gonna manage.
notes to self, if I'm ever crazy enough to come back and rework this one: crosshatching instead of shading might be wicked awesome, find a better solution for colours than multiple Screen layers, and since it's the future, maybe we'll have figured out a way to incorporate some outlines. ha. ha ha. outlines in UF. ha.
